Roger Mudd reports on Senator Robert Kennedy's speech that day to the Senate, followed by a clip of Kennedy's speech urging the United States to suspend bombing North Vietnam. Lastly, Mudd reports on the response of President Lyndon B. Johnson's representative, Senator Henry Jackson, and the ensuing debate.
