Scope and Content Note
The Professional Activities series documents Mr. Hugel's professional career and includes items from his various positions over the years. The series contains materials related to Hugel's education at The University of Baltimore, his teaching activities in Maryland and at the Traffic Institute Northwestern University, his position as a reporter in Baltimore City, his role as State's Attorneys' Coordinator, his work in the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles/Motor Vehicle Administration, his work with the AAMVA, his role as Deputy Administrator for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and others. Materials include work related publications, memoranda, photographs, and a framed political cartoons depicting the public information office where Hugel worked. The series has some overlap with the Writings and Publications series and some overlap with the Memorabilia series.
