Baltimore Neighborhood Collaborative Organizer Training, 2002

The Community Organizing Files series (1962-2014) contains items related to Dick V. Cook’s career as a community organizer, non-profit consultant, and professor of Social Work. Materials are mainly textual and include research articles, pamphlets, periodicals, newspaper clippings, manuscript drafts, and ephemera related to areas where he lived and worked. Some of the ephemera in this collection include historical maps of Baltimore neighborhoods. Unique neighborhood ephemera includes period coloring books and community festival schedules. Also present are local news clippings related to the clean up of Wyman Park and the start of the Waverly Farmers Market. This series contains some digital formats including CD-ROMs and 3.5 inch floppy disks that are housed separately from textual materials in Box 28. Audio cassette tapes were removed and housed in the Audiovisual Materials Series due to their format and preservation needs.
