Scope and Content Note

The Publications series (1943-2000) contains League publications such as newsletters from the League of Women Voters of Baltimore City, newsletters from the Maryland League, newsletters from the National League, Voters Guides, calendars, studies, pamphlets, guides, and other publications produced by the League.

The series is organized into 5 subseries:

Newsletters – The Voter – Baltimore City League of Women Voters, 1943-1987
Newsletters – The Maryland Voter, 1957-1965
Newsletters – The National Voter, 1963-1968
Voters’ Guides, 1960-2000
Additional League Pamphlets, Publications, and Guides, circa 1930-1987

This series overlaps with the League Guides and Newsletters, 1959-2018 subseries in the 2019 Additions series. Content in this series may overlap with other series in this collection. The Voters Guides spanning 1966-2018 were added to the collection as a part of the 2019 accession to the collection. All Voters Guides are interfiled and are housed in Box 6 and Box 47.

Collection is open for research. This collection contains audio-visual and digital materials that may need further processing or special equipment to allow use. Scrapbooks are oversize and in delicate condition. Some scrapbooks have loose materials, but are largely intact. These are stored flat to ensure the materials remain intact.
