Scope and Contents
The Memorabilia series contains materials created and collected by Hugel documenting his many interests and activities. The series includes photographs, postcards, posters, maps, military collectables, autographs, theator programs, Baltimore area restaurant menus, veterans event invitations and photographs, political campaign signs, collected cloth patches, artifacts, and more. Collected newspapers and other publications document notable events that occurred throughout the 20th century including the end of World War II, the moon landing, the Vietnam war, the assasinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr., and other topics. The series also includes two curated exhibits Hugel created for television show appearances. The exhibits include realia and photographs documenting his time in Vietnam and his work on the Agnew campaign in the 1960s. The series contains a variety of materials including textual documents, photographs, oversize materials, cloth patches, and more.
