"Harford Members Propose a Reduction in Judges Salaries." Mary Risteau introduced a bill that would reduce the salaries of Maryland Judges from $11,500 to $8,000, and Circuit Court Judges from $8,500 to 6,000 per year. This was the first bill to reduce salaries of judges introduced in the Legislature during this century. All other legislation tended to increase judges salaries.
