Scope and Content Note

Between 1950 and 1965 Helen Delich Bentley, a maritime editor for the Baltimore Sun, hosted her regular program titled, “The Port That Built the City,” and covered maritime and shipping news with WMAR. Bentley later served as the U.S. Representative from Maryland between 1985 and 1995.
