Collection contains approximately 8,000 Vinyl LP audio recordings. Genres of music represented in the collection include jazz, blues, folk, rock, big band, and show-tunes. Materials are commercial audio recordings.

Historical Note
Conrad Schafran (b.1925 - d.2020) was a 1949 graduate of the University of Baltimore and a native of New York City. Schafran donated his record collection to UB in order to promote the appreciation of jazz music among younger generations of students and music listeners.
