Historical Note
The Baltimore Chapter of The American Institute of Architects was founded in 1871 and maintains an active membership to the present day. As a professional organization representing architects and architecture firms in the Baltimore metropolitan region, AIA Baltimore is involved with legislation at all levels of government, as well as public relations, continuing education, advocacy, resources, and professional networking.
The chapter currently consists of nearly 1,300 architects, emerging professionals, and other members in the Baltimore area.
