Scope and Contents

The Polish Heritage Association of Maryland Records documents the organizations' activities supporting Polish cultural and educational programs between 1974 and 2012. Materials include bylaws, correspondence, publications, clippings, financial records, programs, activities and events, the Trumpeter newsletters, committees work records, and photographs and other media.

Historical Note

The Polish Heritage Association of Maryland was established in 1974 by Americans of Polish decent to celebrate their Polish heritage. The organization sponsors cultural and educational programs, including musical events and exhibits by prominent Polish-American scholars and artists. In addition to commemorative events and activities, the PHA sponsors an annual scholarship competition for qualified Maryland students pursuing college degrees.
