Scope and Content Note

The University of Baltimore Stories: 100th Anniversary Oral History Project contains video recordings, transcripts, and project documents that were collected by Fatemeh Rezaei, the Project Investigator, during the time of this project. Bedell Terry and Elizabeth Epps conducted numerous interviews. A number of transcripts and descriptions were prepared by Thomas Dettling. As the project progresses, more content will be added to this collection.

Historical Note

The University of Baltimore Special Collections and Archives created the collection as part of its centennial celebration plans to preserve the memories of those who have been influenced by the University of Baltimore over the years.The University of Baltimore was founded in 1925 and has gone through many structural and academic changes over the years. With the University’s 100th anniversary approaching in 2025, Special Collections and Archives aims to celebrate the institution with extensive oral history interviews conducted with faculty, staff, trustees, and alumni. This oral history project sheds more lights on the history of the University in the past 50 years. The project began in spring 2021 and will continue until 2025. Interviewees were selected from a diverse group of people with different responsibilities, duties, ages, backgrounds, and years of service.

Custodial History

The parts of the collection was transferred to the Special Collections and Archives by Fatemeh Rezaei on June 10, August 3, August 27, 2021, February 2, April 15, July 29, and October 20 2022.
