Scope and Contents

The interview was conducted as part of the University of Baltimore Stories: 100th Anniversary Oral History Project, directed by the Special Collections and Archives department at the University of Baltimore's RLB Library. It was conducted via Zoom application by Bedell Terry on February 26, 2024. The interviewee is Johnny Rice II who is a distinguished alumnus and current Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at Coppin State University. His journey from a native Baltimorean and first-generation college student to an academic and practitioner in criminal justice and public health epitomizes the transformative power of education and community engagement.
