Abstract The Waterfront Coalition was a citizens community group that formed in 1987 and monitored waterfront development in Baltimore City and its effect on Baltimore neighborhoods, communities, and businesses. It represented the interests of homeowners and businesses in Fells Point, Canton, Butchers Hill, and other neighborhoods. This collection contains materials documenting the activities and interests of the Coalition throughout the late 1980s until it dissolved in approximately 2015.
Content Description The White Lung Association Records document the history and work of the non-profit Baltimore-based organization between 1979 and 2005. Materials in the collection include organizational correspondence, WLA Newsletters, WLA training manuals and 8x10” transparencies, legal case files and related documents, project file notebooks, subject file/clipping notebooks, and audiovisual materials, including photos, VHS tapes, and DVD discs. Scope and Contents The collection includes one box of textual materials primarily related to Women's Union of Baltimore group discussions that took place between 1973 and 1980.
